Canada 150 Road Trip - Sunday, June 25th

We started our journey up to Ottawa bright and early! Vaughn and Kyle joined us on the trip – Kyle had never been to Canada before, so he was really excited. We loaded up my car and were on the road by 7:15am.
We stopped for lunch at Midway Oh Boy restaurant in Elyria, OH. The food was fantastic! I got to have a cheddar perogy! Yum….finding good perogies in the States has been challenging, but these were pretty delicious. Kyle had never tried one before, so we only ordered enough for each of us to have one. I had wanted to order that as my meal, but then decided on the tuna melt. All of us enjoyed our meals, and their famous sauce. I should have bought a bottle of it; it reminded me of McChicken sauce from McDonald’s. Then I remembered that Hollie had bought me a bottle of the new McChicken sauce in Canada, so I decided I didn’t need it. Hoping to crack open the McChicken and Big Mac sauces real soon.

We continued on down the road to Buffalo, NY. Our first stop was Community Beer Works to try some local brews. Between the four of us, we sampled all of the beers in two flights.
From there we walked down to Resurgence Brewing Company, and we bought 4 flights, just enough to have a sample of every beer that they offered.  Then we headed over to another brewery, which I cannot remember the name of, and they had a wedding reception taking place, so that was out.

We decided that it was probably a good time to grab dinner, and we went to Anchor Bar – home of the original buffalo chicken wing. If you have never been, definitely put it on your places to go. The food was very good.
